Hand in Hand works with local service providers to arrange practical supports for families including:
Household Cleaning Services
We work directly with cleaning companies across the country for professional house cleaning services. Families can receive monthly cleaning services for the duration of their child’s treatment.
Laundry
We work directly with laundry providers local to families so they can use their services on a bi-weekly basis for the duration of their child’s treatment.
Family Meals
We partner with a national supplier that provides high quality and nutritious meals. Families can pre-order their meals and organise delivery at times that suit them best. This service is available to families for the duration of their child’s treatment.

Play Therapy
Play Therapy allows a child time and a safe space to play out and express their feelings through their most natural method of communication - play.
Sessions are available for children diagnosed or their siblings, aged 3 to 12.
Depending on location, sessions are provided by Hand in Hand’s accredited Play Therapist, Denise Kane, or arranged through our network of qualified and experienced external Play Therapists.
Sessions are confidential and are only disclosed in line with child protection procedures.
Counselling
Counselling sessions are available for children diagnosed aged 13 to 18, siblings and parents/guardians.
Sessions are arranged through our network of qualified and experienced external Counsellors.
Our Emotional Support Services are kindly part funded by the Irish Cancer Society
